About the Role

Koura Global is seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead our team at Rocksavage, Runcorn. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing plant operations, teams, and resources to deliver Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) targets, quality production, cost savings, and people development.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare, communicate, and control local production schedules on a short- and medium-term basis to ensure plants operate effectively, meet business and maintenance requirements, and keep control of fixed and variable costs.
  • Monitor the safety, health, and environmental performance of the CTF plant and site, investigate incidents, and drive safety improvements to ensure production operations conform to current and future legislation.
  • Manage the team's competence, performance, attendance, and behaviors to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Work with the site production manager to develop and implement personal improvement plans for medical process teams and develop their skills, knowledge, and competencies in line with agreed targets set at the personal review time.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of improvement plans to reduce plant fixed and variable costs and optimize performance in line with business needs.
  • Maintain KPIs and other analytical methods to continuously monitor and improve operating performance and submit/present reports as per business requirements.
  • Support other key stakeholders with the process planning of shutdowns and maintenance activities to ensure that necessary resources are obtained, and the plan is developed and executed within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain and support the quality management system by reviewing and developing documentation covering all plant operations under site SHEQ requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum: HNC/D or NVQ Level 5 qualification.
  • Leadership and Management qualification (e.g., ILM Level 4, Team Leader, Supervisor Apprenticeship Standard, or similar).
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications desirable.
  • Lean/6σ and Continuous Improvement desirable.

About You

">

We are looking for a results-driven leader with a strong background in chemical process operations, ideally with experience in supervising unionized workforces and controlling processes using control systems. A minimum of 4-5 years' experience is required, with knowledge of safe systems of work, handling, storage, and transportation of chemicals, and IT systems.

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including:
