Role Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing project documentation to generate comprehensive cost estimates, reports, and presentations for our clients. You will utilize cost estimating software applications and methods to deliver accurate and reliable results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of cost management services for small to medium infrastructure developments or significant components of larger projects
  • Deliver high-quality cost estimates from conceptual stage to final design documents, including written basis of estimate reports
  • Liaise with external contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure seamless project execution
  • Review and understand project documents, assessing any project risks and logistics
  • Perform accurate quantity take-offs using software-enabled applications
  • Track market conditions and costs to ensure informed decision-making
  • Assist in the development of project scope, supporting value management activities and communicating estimating scope with key stakeholders
  • Follow internal control safeguards to ensure consistent reporting of accurate information
  • Coach and develop other team members to share knowledge and improve service delivery

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Relevant professional qualification or chartered status
  • CSCS card holder
  • Ability to take a project through from inception to completion
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues and emerging leadership skills
  • Experience working closely with external stakeholders to build client relationships
  • Experience managing business relationships at middle-management level
