About the Role
The successful candidate will report to the Financial Controller and Accountant, and be responsible for assisting with and completing various duties, including weekly and monthly cash flow forecasting, maintaining fixed asset registers, and supporting the facility manager with van and shop maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Weekly and monthly cash flow forecasting
- Maintaining fixed asset registers
- Supporting facility manager with van and shop maintenance
- Online banking auditing and supplier payments
- Liaising with suppliers
- Monthly bank reconciliations in various currencies
- Intercompany account reconciliations
- Credit card postings and reconciliations
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements to accounts
- Preparing monthly KPIs and sales targets
- Assisting in quarterly preparation of management accounts
- Reviewing branch profit and loss accounts each month
- Supporting company accountant with ad hoc duties
- Meeting HMRC reporting deadlines
- Payroll duties using SAGE payroll software
Requirements
- Third-level finance or business qualification (desirable)
- Studying (or planning to) ACCA or CIMA qualification (study support will be provided)
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (desirable)
- Good IT skills with previous experience of Excel, Word, and Outlook (experience with Excel desirable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail along with a proven ability to meet deadlines
