Central Employment is partnering with a rapidly expanding eCommerce Retail/Interiors brand to find a Senior Buyer & Merchandiser based in West Yorkshire.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled buyer to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the company's product offering. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, selecting and negotiating product assortments, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver a competitive and profitable product range.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of products.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, including pricing, payment schedules, and quality expectations.
  • Research market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to curate a competitive product assortment.
  • Evaluate the profitability and demand potential of products to align with business goals.
  • Regularly update the product portfolio to reflect seasonal trends and customer demand.
  • Forecast demand to manage inventory levels effectively, preventing overstocking or stockouts.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of inventory management and demand forecasting, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. Experience in the furniture or home goods industry is preferred.
