A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SALES OFFICE MANAGER AT CROWNE PLAZA READING

What you'll be doing...

  • Ensure the smooth running of the Sales & Reservations department on a day-to-day basis, liaising between clients and all departments.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to improve and manage team performance.
  • To support the Director of Sales with show rounds, proposals, and upselling.
  • Assess and respond to client inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Provide courteous and efficient service in bookings for rooms and food & beverage outlets and secure business at all times.
  • Provide fast, professional and friendly service to guests and customers by handling reservations, group bookings and contracts.
  • Create reservations and input via both telephone and email according to room and rate availability, ensuring that full and accurate details are obtained.
  • Deal with travel agent bookings, vouchers and credit requests, ensuring that the hotel's policy is adhered to at all times.
  • Accurate and timely responses to guests, clients and agents in line with our brand standards.
  • Update reservations, to input and record cancellations and amendments, making sure all bookings are accurate.
  • To assist colleagues and other members of staff to create teamwork and quality service through communication.
  • To adopt a 'can do' attitude towards all aspects of customer service through a proactive and flexible approach to meeting customer needs.
