Senior Practitioner

Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Practitioner to join their Pre-Birth Team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work full-time in Redbridge, with a competitive salary of up to £47,661 per annum.
Main Responsibilities:- Assist the Service Manager in aspects of the Team's work, including allocation of tasks, maintaining high professional standards, and supporting staff development.
- Stay up-to-date with good practice guidance, current legislation, and local policies to lead the dissemination of these within the team.
- Provide consultation, advice, and guidance to Team members on professional issues.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager to develop and maintain projects within agreed timetables.
- Represent the Service Manager at internal and external meetings as required.
- Write complex reports and briefing papers on policy and operational issues for senior management and participate in various meetings and task forces.
- Offer professional advice and support to team members in carrying out their duties.
- Ensure team members meet expectations in relation to the council's statutory responsibilities, policies, and standards, and that the practice is anti-discriminatory.
- Stay informed about changes in legislation and develop a working knowledge of major Council policies, procedures, and practice guidance notes.
- Maintain management information systems and provide regular reports identifying trends and proposing solutions.
- Provide cover for colleagues as required and arrange cover for other Team members across the Service.
- Develop effective liaison and cooperation with the local community, community groups, other Authorities, agencies, and non-statutory organisations.
- Participate in inter-agency working with Education, the Health Authority, Housing, the Probation Service, and other statutory/voluntary organisations.
- Provide management, consultation, professional support, advice, and guidance to the immediate team and others across the Service.
- Comply with the current dress code and be able to drive and use a car for the execution of duties.
- Perform other duties as required and consistent with the level of the post.
- A social work qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Continual professional development.
- Social Work England registration.
- Experience within Adult Social Work.
