We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Female Helpline Support Volunteer. As a representative of the Muslim Women's Network UK, you will provide vital support to Muslim women and girls who are experiencing or at risk of abuse, as well as those facing other complex issues.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in social justice and ethnic minority empowerment to make a meaningful difference in their community. In return, you will gain valuable experience, training, and skills that can be applied to future roles.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing high-level support to users of the MWN Helpline, responding to telephone and electronic enquiries.
  2. Being responsible for helpline case management, including database inputting.
  3. Maintaining all information in line with confidentiality and data protection policies at all times.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of key issues affecting Muslim women and girls, including domestic violence, sexual violence, forced marriage, honour-based violence, hate crime, Islamophobia, and mental health.

Please note that this role is open to women only, as per The Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1, Paragraph 1).

Estimated salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum.
