HR Advisor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our team at Plus One Recruitment. As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the growth and development of our clients' businesses by providing expert HR advice and guidance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain Employee Records: Ensure accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Onboarding Process: Assist with preparing offer letters, contracts, and conducting inductions.
  • Employee Lifecycle: Coordinate and manage employee lifecycle processes, including promotions, transfers, and exits.
  • HR Documentation: Prepare HR documentation such as letters, contracts, and reports.
  • HR Advice: Act as a point of contact for line managers seeking advice on HR issues, guiding them on best practices and legal requirements.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to line managers on handling ER cases, performance management, and other HR processes.
  • ER Cases: Provide first-line advice to line managers on low-to-medium level ER issues.
  • ER Meetings: Support the HR People Managers in the preparation and delivery of formal ER meetings, such as disciplinary hearings or grievance procedures.
  • ER Tracking: Monitor and track ER cases, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
  • HR Policies: Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure all HR activities comply with current employment laws and internal policies.
  • HR Projects: Assist with HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement.
  • Recruitment: Participate in and support recruitment activities, including screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • HR Principles: Strong understanding of HR principles, particularly in employee relations.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • HR Software: Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Employment Laws: Knowledge of current employment laws and HR best practices.
Additional Information:
  • Working Hours: Full-time role working Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm with hybrid working available (3 days in the office and 2 from home).
  • Benefits: 6% Company pension contribution (5% contribution from you), Private Medical Insurance, Lunch, drinks & snacked provided, Life Insurance (x3 basic salary), 28 days Annual Leave throughout the year, plus an additional 3 days Annual Leave in the December holiday period, when the company shuts down (plus statutory holidays), Membership to the Headspace app.
