About the Role

At Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a skilled Clinical Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic team. Job Responsibilities
  • To provide specialist speech and language therapy services to children and young people on the caseload, addressing various communication needs and goals.
  • To work autonomously and collaboratively with health and education staff, families, and carers to deliver integrated packages of care.
  • To train students, other professionals, and staff members who work with children with speech and language difficulties.
Requirements
  • A recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree-level qualification or equivalent.
  • Evidence of postgraduate study or equivalent experience.
  • Registration with the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists and the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Substantial experience of paediatric speech and language disorders, delays, and challenges.
  • Familiarity with specialist paediatric clinical areas, as well as experience in receiving clinical supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
Skills and Qualities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including observation, listening, and empathy.
  • Highly developed non-verbal communication skills and analytical abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills, efficient working practices, and excellent training and presentation skills.
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position with a 12-month fixed-term contract. We offer a competitive salary, ranging from £40,412 to £59,239 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide opportunities for professional development, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive environment.

Please note that this role requires a relocation to the Southampton area, with access to regular travel options between locations.
