Accounting Clerk

The Portfolio Group is seeking a Sales Ledger Clerk to process sales orders, manage payment schedules, and provide exceptional service across the business. This individual will work closely with the Sales Ledger Team Leader and other team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of finance tasks.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with previous experience in a similar finance role, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to make a real impact at The Portfolio Group. We are looking for a proactive and confident individual who can work collaboratively as part of our finance team.
Responsibilities:
• Process sales orders, verifying all information and figures for accuracy.
• Input sales orders into the accounting system, ensuring seamless data management.
• Create and manage payment schedules, meeting deadlines and maintaining effective cash flow.
• Update and maintain order books, keeping records up-to-date and easily accessible.
• Resolve billing queries via phone and email, providing clear and transparent communication.
• Liaise with business managers to ensure sales order completeness, fostering strong relationships and collaboration.
• Support other Finance team members with day-to-day tasks, promoting a positive and efficient working environment.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a similar, varied finance role.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with a focus on data analysis and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring precision in financial tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, able to work collaboratively and build strong relationships.
• Proactive, confident, and able to use initiative, driving results and success in the finance department.
Salary:£23,000 per annum.
