NRL Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to join a well-established company in the Fife area on a permanent staff basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in Welding/Fabrication inspection and a strong understanding of core manufacturing processes.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving suppliers' processes to achieve business goals related to Procurement Supplier Quality Management. This includes supplier training on requirements, analysis of supplier performance, and involvement in the improvement process.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage each assigned supplier's safety, quality, and delivery performance through defined metrics and KPIs.
  2. Develop supplier capability through a commitment to continuous improvement, empowerment, and management by data.
  3. Maintain up-to-date understanding of product requirements and communicate quality requirements and initiatives.
  4. Align and cooperate with functional departments globally with minimal supervision.
  5. Good understanding of core manufacturing and inspection processes such as forging, fabrication, machining, coating, welding, and NDT.
  6. Understand the interactions between industry/regulatory standards and customer requirements.

Additional Skills

  1. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  2. Ability to lead and facilitate improvement projects.
