Freight Forwarding Branch Manager

Red Recruit is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Branch Manager to join our client's team in Manchester. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all import/export operations, warehouse management, and facilities management.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals to ensure efficient performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and implement SOPs for import/export operations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of legal, financial, and invoicing tasks.
- Supervise local sales activities, ensuring the sales team is informed and delivering services as per the company's objectives.
- Authorise and scrutinise invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Oversee department cost capture, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Provide training, supervision, and maintain staff training records.
- Solid financial management skills, particularly in cost tracking and invoice processing.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly across all organisational levels.
- Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel).
We are looking for a candidate with a comprehensive understanding of import/export operations and regulatory compliance, with proven experience in leading and managing teams effectively.
