Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Software Product Technology Manager to join our Central Engineering Software group. As a key member of our team, you will play a bridging role across various technologies, addressing the growing demand for software solutions across multiple market segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the full value chain, including end customers, manufacturers, and designers of hardware, software, and systems, to identify opportunities for software enablement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and software vendors to prioritize features and enhancements that meet customer needs.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of software-based solutions versus competitors.
  • Advocate for the software offering in open-source communities, and engage customers and sales teams through meetings and training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in creating and managing software requirements, preferably in a product delivery context, with an understanding of how these requirements are validated and delivered to meet quality standards.
  • Hands-on software development experience (e.g., firmware, operating systems, or application development).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as well as an integral member of both local and globally distributed teams.
