Oak Hall Surgery is a high-achieving General Medical Services (GMS) practice located in the historic town of New Romney. We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.

**Job Summary:**

**About Us:

Oak Hall Surgery is situated in a beautifully converted Medieval Hall House on the High Street, proudly serving a patient population of over 5,800. Our team consists of two GPs, three Nurse Practitioners, skilled Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Pharmacists, and an administrative and reception team. We utilize EMIS Web, Docman, and Ardens Manager to ensure streamlined and effective patient care.

**Job Responsibilities:

Triage and Assessment
  • Triages patients via online forms or telephone conversations and assesses the most appropriate care setting.
  • Assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates treatment for minor illnesses, undifferentiated diagnoses, or complex needs.
Emergency Care and Record Keeping
  • Prioritises health problems and provides interventions in urgent or emergency situations.
  • Maintains accurate and complete patient records in line with legislation and policies.
Nursing Services and Quality Governance
  • Participates in quality governance and uses the audit cycle to implement improvements.
  • Assists in organising and coordinating nursing services to provide evidence-based practice.
Long-Term Conditions Management
  • Identifies, diagnoses, and formulates treatment plans for patients at risk of long-term conditions.
  • Works with healthcare professionals to manage long-term conditions using evidence-based methods.

**Essential Requirements:

  • RGN qualification and registration with the NMC.
  • Independent nurse prescriber status registered with the NMC.
  • NMC revalidation requirements must be met as outlined in the NMC Revalidation booklet.

**Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Master's degree or Postgraduate diploma/degree in Advanced Practice for qualifications obtained after December 2020/ up to December 2020 respectively.
  • Accredited training in areas such as Minor Illness, Urgent Care, Chronic Disease Management, or Frailty.
  • Proven experience working independently in an ANP or NP role, preferably in a primary care network or general practice setting.
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in patient triage.

**Salary:** £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
