We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Care Assistant to provide support and care to our 16-year-old daughter, Ella-Rose, who has Dravet Syndrome. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting Ella-Rose with daily activities, accessing the community, and participating in social activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personal care and support to Ella-Rose, including assistance with daily living tasks
- Accompany Ella-Rose to community activities, such as football matches and social clubs
- Assist with transportation, using a wheelchair-accessible vehicle
- Monitor and respond to Ella-Rose's seizures, using emergency rescue medicine as needed
- Communicate effectively with Ella-Rose, using clear and simple language
- Full DBS check
- First aid training, specifically in seizure management and administering buccal midazolam
- Valid UK driving license and access to a wheelchair-accessible vehicle
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
