Volunteer Retail Associate
As a volunteer retail associate at Save the Children-5, you will be part of a vibrant team that transforms donated items into essential funds for children in need. Our shop teams are key to raising vital funds for our work and act as incredible advocates for the rights of children both in the UK and around the world.
We're passionate about giving second-hand clothing a chance of going to a good home. Our unique shops bring together generous gifts from local individuals and companies, transformed by the skills and passions of volunteer teams. You'll have the opportunity to sort and price stock, engage with customers, ring items through the till, create fantastic window displays, or keep our shop floor looking organized.
The role is flexible, allowing you to commit as much time as you like. Many volunteers support us for a couple of hours a week, while others do more. We welcome applications from people with a wide range of skills and experiences. Full training will be provided, and we're looking for team players who are open to learning and representing Save the Children-5.
Our estimated salary for this role is £9-12 per hour, based on national averages for retail volunteers in London. However, please note that this is a voluntary, unpaid role, based in the UK. We are unfortunately not able to provide support with visa requests.
You can expect a supportive environment where everyone is valued. We're committed to inclusivity and diversity, ensuring our shop teams reflect the communities they serve. As a volunteer retail associate, you'll play a vital role in helping children transform their lives. By providing live-saving short-term help and pushing for deep-rooted social change, you'll be contributing to a better future for every child.
