Job Overview

As a senior manager at Windward Energy Group, you will lead on all HSE aspects of our operations, supporting project teams as they work with consultants, contractors, customers, and other electricity network owners. Your role will provide expert advice to the management team in compliance with statutory HSE requirements and work with project development and delivery teams to enable safe and sustainable design and construction of the Green GEN Cymru network.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive HSE Culture and Performance: Collaborate with the wider HSE team in Windward Energy to drive and promote an exceptional HSE culture and performance within Green GEN Cymru.
  • Safety and Compliance**: Support project teams with any HSE matters from connection offer to energisation and operation, being the key department contact for any HSE matters for Green GEN Cymru's network.
  • Risk Management**: Review and improve internal processes such as risk assessment preparation or Construction Design & Management (CDM) compliance and monitor ongoing engagement and reporting.
  • HSE Investigations**: Take ownership of all HSE investigations, corrective actions, and preventative measures for implementation.
  • Incident Reporting**: Administer the incident reporting system and manage a HSE action database, ensuring all actions are appropriate and completed in a timely manner.
Requirements

This role requires a high standard of written and oral English, with the ability to describe and provide clarity on HSE requirements to stakeholders. You should be an organised individual who can multi-task and manage workstreams across different projects. Competence in Microsoft packages e.g. Word, Excel is also necessary.
