About the Role

Evelyn Partners is seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join its Fund Oversight team in Glasgow.

You will play a critical role in supporting the Assessment of Value on authorized funds to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and agreed service levels.

As a Technical Specialist - Assessment of Value, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the provisions of the EPFL Assessment of Value policy and EPFL Fund Performance policies are met
  • Engaging with the EPFL Relationship Management Team, EPFL Sponsors, and relevant Committees (Assessment of Value Committee and Investment Committee) to ensure professional and timely interactions
  • Providing input to the Relationship Mentorship & Business Development teams to ensure all interactions with sponsors, funds, and delegates are conducted professionally and their requests are addressed in a timely manner
  • Maintaining clear and accurate correspondence and reporting to meet the needs of the Committees, sponsors, funds, and delegates
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the firm's regulatory framework and its application to your role
  • Identifying and mitigating risks to clients within your operation
Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience mentoring investment portfolios
  • Familiarity with investment performance and associated terminology, including risk metrics
  • Detailed operational knowledge of end-to-end processing within an Asset Servicing, ACD business
  • A strong understanding of the financial services industry and investment markets, including key industry trends and best practices within the Authorised Funds sector
  • Experience operating within the FCA regulatory framework, with a detailed working knowledge and understanding of current legislation

In addition, desirable skills include:

  • Authorized funds experience gained within a financial institution
  • Demonstrable knowledge of fund operations and your role as the ACD, with a particular focus on investment and borrowing powers and fund liquidity
  • CISI IOC qualification (or equivalent minimum level 4)
