About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Property Surveyor to join our team at Capita Entrust. As a Property Surveyor, you will be responsible for undertaking planned maintenance programmes, including the design and specification of projects, and providing routine advice and support to the Local Authority on day-to-day and planned maintenance repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake planned maintenance programmes, including the design and specification of projects, and the supervision of work on site.
  • Provide routine advice and support to the Local Authority on day-to-day and planned maintenance repairs.
  • Implement, diagnose, and manage works for the repair and maintenance of various buildings assigned to the successful candidate.
  • Undertake project management/supervising officer duties, liaising with the establishment representative, and initiating and completing maintenance and minor improvement works.
  • Work out of county as required, ensuring projects are carried out within approved budgets and in accordance with health and safety procedures.
  • Ensure the use of and adherence to appropriate health and safety risk assessments and precautions, commensurate with the complexity of the project, and in accordance with the CDM 2015 regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an HNC/HND in Building Studies or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge and experience of Listed Buildings and the preparation and submission of Listed Building Applications.
  • Qualified trades people within an appropriate trade with suitable supervisory experience will be considered.
  • Experience in the management and organisation of building maintenance project works, working to budgets and deadlines.
  • Experience in the provision of building specifications/drawings (AutoCad Lt is preferred) for maintenance and minor improvement works.
  • Ability to diagnose buildings defects, identify solutions, and communicate these effectively to the relevant parties.
  • Knowledge of building and planning regulations and other statutory requirements in relation to the design and construction of minor improvement projects.
  • Current Full Driving license.
  • DBS enhanced disclosure will be required.
