Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Lecturer in Games Development to join our team at Cheshire College - South & West. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, as well as contributing to the development of our curriculum and assessment strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions to students on a range of Games Development courses.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and developments in Games Development, and incorporate this knowledge into your teaching practice.
  • Contribute to the development of our curriculum and assessment strategies, ensuring that they are relevant, up-to-date, and meet the needs of our students and industry partners.
  • Provide high-quality feedback and guidance to students, and support them in achieving their academic and professional goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver innovative and effective teaching and learning strategies.
Person Specification
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a teaching or training role, preferably in a Games Development or related field.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends and developments in Games Development, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a teaching context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions, and to assess student learning and progress.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
