As a Head of Strategic Sourcing, you will be responsible for leading a specialist resource team providing guidance and support across the organisation, promoting value for money, and ensuring procurement and contract standing order compliance.

About the Job

In this role, you will develop and maintain framework agreements, as well as maintain an overview of the timetable for the renewal and retendering of key contracts across the organisation. You will also lead on the implementation of new legislative requirements to ensure SNG is ready and able to comply with the new requirements by the implementation deadline.

  • Developing a strategic approach to relationships with procurement and other groups, working in partnership to achieve economies of scale and cost effectiveness
  • Researching and developing new procurement initiatives and where appropriate develop initiatives into mainstream processes
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have demonstrable experience in a similar senior leadership position within procurement, with strong knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance requirements. Your skills and qualifications include:

  • Previous leadership experience, with demonstrable focus on coaching and developing a high performing team
  • Significant data analytics skills, ideally including Power BI and experience linked to business operations and procurement
Benefits

The salary for this role is £80,000 - £95,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive a range of benefits, including a flexible benefit pot, pension scheme, and private medical insurance.
