As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the excellence of software products developed in-house or customized for cloud environments. Collaborating closely with development teams, you will plan, execute, and validate software modifications to guarantee that all products meet the highest quality standards.

Your responsibilities will encompass the quality assurance phase of software development and deployment. You will perform both automated and manual testing to verify that the software developed is suitable for its intended use, identifying and resolving any defects prior to release.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and document detailed test cases based on software requirements gathered from business analysts and developers.
  • Estimate testing efforts accurately.
  • Identify, log, and monitor defects throughout the testing process.
  • Provide comprehensive reports on defect tracking and escalate technical issues as necessary.
  • Create and maintain test documentation and cases.
  • Develop and execute test scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Analyze and report testing outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
  • Establish and uphold testing standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure uniform testing practices.
  • Contribute to the planning and strategy of testing, including business mapping.
  • Maintain a holistic understanding of system components and their interactions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps and agile methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in an IT environment, particularly within the automotive or retail sectors, with an emphasis on start-up knowledge being beneficial.
  • Demonstrable experience in testing applications for both functional and non-functional quality attributes.
  • Certification in ISEB or ISTQB, Tricentis Tosca, or similar qualifications is preferred.
  • Familiarity with configuration efforts and software development.
  • In-depth knowledge of various testing methodologies, including functional, usability, and performance testing.
  • Understanding of basic project management concepts, both waterfall and iterative.
  • Proficient in conducting both manual and automated testing.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
  • Ability to foresee user behavior and potential system risks.
