Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Medication Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at The Sterling Group in Birmingham. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medication for our patients.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with working hours from 9:00am to 5:00pm, including a 30-minute lunch break. You will work closely with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, providing medication-related advice and support to both patients and the practice team.

  • Dispense prescriptions accurately and prepare medicines with precision.
  • Offer expert guidance to patients on their medications and correct usage.
  • Conduct thorough medicine reviews and assist with repeat prescription processes.
  • Collaborate with GPs and other healthcare professionals in managing long-term conditions.
  • Implement and manage the practice's medication policies and protocols effectively.
  • Monitor stock levels and oversee the ordering, storage, and safe disposal of medicines.
  • Participate in audits and contribute to continuous improvement of pharmacy services.
  • Develop and deliver medication education for patients and staff.
Requirements:
  • GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician qualification.
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a GP practice or community pharmacy is highly desirable.
