About The Curious Cat

We are a traditional Country Pub located in a beautiful part of Kent, between Herne Bay and Canterbury. Our team is proud to have earned an excellent reputation, and we are looking for an experienced and skilled Chef de Partie / Sous Chef to join us on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare a wide variety of dishes, including salads, sauces, side dishes, starters, and desserts
  2. Maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
  3. Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of running the kitchen
  4. Help manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment
  5. Contribute to the planning and creation of menus
  6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  7. Work well under pressure and be well-organised

Desirable Skills:

  1. Knowledge of working with fresh ingredients
  2. Experience in cooking fresh fish, meat, and vegetables
