Veterinary Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our small, independent team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and support to our veterinary team. This position requires a strong understanding of veterinary practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals in our care.
• Prepare animals for surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and behavior.

Requirements
A recognised qualification in veterinary nursing or equivalent experience is essential. Previous experience in a veterinary setting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of veterinary laboratory procedures is advantageous. A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional care.
