Job Description:

The Residential Security Assistant will be responsible for supervising residents in accordance with policy and practice, dealing with routine issues, and ensuring the enforcement of Approved Premises rules. This role requires experience working with complex and vulnerable individuals, as well as an understanding of residential settings within the Criminal Justice System.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the supervision of residents, referring serious incidents to designated on-call managers and adhering to incident reporting procedures.
  • Staff and supervise the Approved Premises during designated shifts, responding appropriately to abusive or aggressive behavior.
  • Maintain a healthy, safe, and productive work environment, including familiarizing and using appropriate health and safety equipment.
  • Conduct curfew checks, wellbeing checks, fire alarm tests, room searches, and monitor CCTV equipment.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of good Health and Safety practice
  • Understanding of good anti-discriminatory practice
  • 1st Aid Trained
  • Good English oral & written, administration and IT communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively
Salary:

£ per hour (42 hours/week)
