WEX Europe Limited, a leading provider of outsourced services, is seeking a highly skilled Banking Operations Analyst to join its team. As a key member of the Financial Operations department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity and accuracy of the company's operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the critical oversight and control over Banking Operations;
- Manage cash flow, including daily cash balances, cash positioning, anticipating cash needs, and ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational requirements;
- Support treasury leadership in managing relationships with banks, including overseeing bank accounts and optimizing banking services to meet business needs;
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting related to treasury activities, including liquidity reports and other relevant financial information;
- Stay updated with financial regulations and compliance requirements related to Treasury's operations, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations;
- Utilize treasury systems and technologies to streamline treasury processes, enhance efficiency, and improve reporting capabilities;
- Supervise and develop treasury professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a Treasury, Accounting, Finance, or Banking position;
- Ideal degree educated in a related field, such as Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics;
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, including cash flow management, liquidity management, financial risk assessment, and investment strategies;
- Proficiency in managing daily cash flow, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing working capital;
- Previous experience executing treasury transactions, including cash positioning, cash pooling, bank account management, and payment processing;
- Familiarity with treasury management systems and financial software tools to streamline treasury processes, automate cash management, and enhance reporting capabilities;
- Strong ability to use time efficiently to meet multiple deadlines and take responsibility for completing assignments with minimal supervision;
- Proficient in financial analysis and modeling to evaluate investment opportunities, assess financial risks, and support decision making;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other external partners;
- Understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls relevant to treasury operations;
- Strong problem-solving skills to analyze complex financial situations, identify issues, and provide effective solutions;
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders from various departments;
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in financial analysis, cash forecasting, and transaction processing;
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business environments, market conditions, and willingness to learn and stay updated with emerging practices in treasury management.
