About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Nurse to join our team at Haven House, a leading children's hospice in the UK. As a Senior Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to children and young people with life-limiting illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert nursing care to children and young people with complex health needs, including symptom management and end-of-life care.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior staff and students, promoting excellence in paediatric palliative care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • Support the development of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (Child/Adult/LD) with a minimum of 2 years' post-registration experience in paediatric nursing.
  • Palliative Care/Symptom Management in Life-Limiting Illness or similar module.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing demands, with a flexible approach to work.
  • IT/Computer literate, with experience of using electronic patient record systems.
