Damp and Mould Surveyor Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Damp and Mould Surveyor to join our team at The Oyster Partnership. As a specialist in moisture control, you will be responsible for conducting surveys, identifying issues, and providing recommendations for remediation.

About the Role:

  • Type: Contract (3-6 months, potential extension)
  • Location: Hertfordshire
  • Hourly Rate: £325 - £350 per day (paid through umbrella company)
  • Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per year

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive damp and mould surveys to pinpoint problems and suggest solutions
  2. Analyse survey findings and compose detailed reports
  3. Obtain quotes from suppliers to ensure best value
  4. Evaluate the quality of work performed by contractors and operatives
  5. Negotiate with tenants and oversee contracts
  6. Maintain accurate records of case management within our Housing Management system

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven expertise in diagnosing damp, mould, and condensation in social housing settings
  • Able to effectively manage relationships with contractors and DLOs
  • Relevant certifications or membership in industry-related bodies
