Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Lead to join our Design and Construction Management Department in Ruthin. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing geotechnical reviews and assessments, analysing data, and advising on ground investigations and specialist consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage geotechnical reviews and assessments for tenders
Analyse geotechnical data and identify key risks
Advise on additional ground investigations and manage specialist consultants
Contribute to mix design for stabilisation and support the selection of plant and techniques
Review and advise on temporary works, including retaining structures and working platforms
Assess and classify materials, identify potential borrow pits, and ensure pricing aligns with material specialisms
Promote value engineering by providing alternative solutions for both temporary and permanent works
Produce specialist text for tender submissions and technical documents

Requirements:

Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
Proven experience in a geotechnical or design management role within a civil engineering environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Project and P6 Primavera
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
