We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join the Black Swan Group team as a Trade Surveillance Associate. This role offers the opportunity to optimize and enhance the surveillance function, collaborate with the front office sales and trading desks, and significantly impact the future of compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily, weekly and monthly monitoring of trade surveillance and develop and implement surveillance reports as required.
  • Review and investigate alerts generated by surveillance systems and properly escalate as necessary.
  • Actively contribute to the development, testing, and oversight of a comprehensive market monitoring system throughout the organization.
  • Working with colleagues across the organization, support and facilitate implementation of the Market Abuse Risk Assessment.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in surveillance or the design and monitoring of trade surveillance technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, adaptability to a dynamic work environment, and a demonstrable level of initiative and integrity.
  • Previous experience in commodities or fixed income surveillance.
  • Experience with Smarts, Actimize or Scila would be highly desirable.
