CAMHS Mental Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAMHS Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Northern Healthcare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver evidence-based interventions to individuals with complex mental health needs, providing effective care and support.
- Develop and implement transition, admission, and discharge plans, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, gathering information to inform comprehensive case summaries.
- Formulate care plans, risk management plans, and treatment plans, working collaboratively with external agencies.
- Participate in the on-call rota, providing 24/7 support to individuals and their families.
- Facilitate treatment planning, liaising with secondary care and external agencies to ensure optimal care outcomes.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal, organisational, and ethical requirements.
- Safeguard individuals from abuse, reporting any incidents immediately.
- Ensure compliance with MCA principles, codes of practice, and relevant legislation, including MCA and MHA.
- Manage high-risk and complex presentations in the community, employing positive therapeutic risk management strategies.
- Undertake medication management, audits, and offer medication competencies to support staff.
- Monitor required paperwork related to CTO/Section 17, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Utilise strategies to enhance recovery for vulnerable adults, promoting positive outcomes.
- Conduct care planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring high-quality care and support.
Requirements:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
- Experience working with individuals with complex mental health needs.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including MCA and MHA.
