Substance Global is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our Operations Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of the people's plan to support the Company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Team Resourcing: Work with line managers to identify and address resourcing gaps, responsible for the entire recruitment process, and use tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter to identify candidates for vacant positions.
  • Policies and Compliance: Regularly review people policies and procedures to ensure they remain relevant to the business requirements and compliant with local legislation.
  • Employee Management and Relations: Process the monthly payroll, work with line managers to develop and implement effective performance management policies and cycles, and manage employee relations, including disciplinary, grievances, and redundancies.
  • Company Culture and Employee Engagement: Develop regular initiatives to drive employee engagement and promote inclusion and diversity, and run the quarterly employee engagement survey and focus group discussions.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in a purely HR role in a fast-paced company, ideally an SME.
  • A sound knowledge of UK employment law, US employment law would be a bonus.
  • Ideally CIPD Level 7 qualified.
  • Able to deal with sensitive and confidential issues in a professional and reassuring manner.
  • Comfortable operating in a stand-alone position, though collaborating with managers/management.
