Mental Health Care Assistant Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Care Assistant to join our team at Westmorland General Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients in need.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered care to patients, promoting their physical and emotional well-being
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as washing, dressing, and feeding
  • Monitor patients' conditions, taking vital signs and reporting any concerns to healthcare staff
  • Participate in health checks, take blood samples, and process lab samples

Requirements:

  • Pass an enhanced background check
  • Provide references covering the last two years
