We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our Health and Safety Department at the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the team, you will provide expert advice and guidance on occupational health matters, ensuring a healthy and safe working environment for staff and patients.

About the Job

This is a permanent, full-time position, offering a competitive salary of £37,338 - £44,962 per annum, pro rata. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

You will have a broad range of H&S legislative knowledge and be a flexible, motivated team player with excellent communication and organisational skills. A good understanding of health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices is essential for this role.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Provide competent and up-to-date health and safety advice and guidance to staff and managers on all aspects of health and safety.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure a safe working environment.
