Early Years Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant partnership school in Newport. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and secure environment that supports the educational journey of nursery and reception students.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with fellow Teaching Assistants to enhance play and learning experiences for young learners.
- Ensure a safe environment for children by remaining vigilant and engaged at all times.
- Support children in developing their numeracy and language skills through engaging daily activities.
- Foster independent work while promoting social interaction and peer engagement.
- Cultivate a caring and safe space to encourage children's growth and development.
- Adhere to the school's safeguarding and protection policies.
- Support children with their personal care needs as required.
- Location: Newport
- Salary: Starting at £83.34 per day
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
- Hold a Child-Only DBS certificate registered on the Update Service.
- Provide two professional references from the past 24 months.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
