Palliative Care Specialist Opportunity

Marie Curie is seeking a highly skilled Senior Nurse to lead our palliative care team. As a Palliative Care Specialist, you will play a key role in managing our team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care for our patients.

You will work closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager to oversee a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, providing supervision and coordination of clinical services. Your expertise in palliative care will be instrumental in shaping a positive working environment and fostering a culture of professional growth within your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a defined caseload and act as a professional role model to encourage a wide team approach to the proactive identification of those nearing the end of life.
  • Develop and evaluate care management plans alongside other healthcare professionals to meet the complex needs of patients and their families.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team to ensure timely transfers to preferred places of care.
