Social Work Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Surrey MASH team as a Child Protection Specialist. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in children's services, particularly in safeguarding and child protection, and be able to demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and protecting vulnerable children.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about safeguarding and protecting vulnerable children. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, collaborating with colleagues and partner agencies, and making decisions that prioritize the safety and well-being of children. You will also support the development of policies, procedures, and training programs to enhance the effectiveness of the MASH team.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to determine risk levels and appropriate interventions.
* Collaborate with partner agencies to gather and share information to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
* Make informed decisions regarding immediate protection and intervention to prioritize the safety and well-being of children.
* Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and case progress in compliance with data protection policies.
Requirements:
* Recognized social work qualification and registration with relevant professional body.
* Extensive experience in children's services, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.
* Sound knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with colleagues, agencies, and families.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with current research and best practices.
The estimated salary for this position is £52,000-£62,000 per annum, depending on experience.
