Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate to contribute to our research team at the University of York. This role will involve leading science aspects of our current measurement programmes in the excitation spectra of strange baryons, the hyperon-nucleon interaction, exotic hybrid mesons, and hexaquarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and lead data taking for key measurements
- Perform data analysis and physics interpretation
- Collaborate with international research teams, including postdocs and students
- Develop and implement new research ideas and initiatives
- Contribute to the development of research proposals and funding applications
Requirements
- PhD in Experimental or Theoretical Particle or Nuclear Physics, or a closely related field
- Excellent understanding and communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Linux environment and coding in C/C++ or a similar language
- Experience with scientific software and high-level analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively communicate research outputs
