About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Risk Management Underwriter to join our team at Plum Underwriting. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for underwriting risks in accordance with personal authority and within Plum's criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite risks accurately and efficiently, ensuring all documentation and systems are up-to-date.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders internally and externally to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Assist senior management with market intelligence, including retention rates and ratings input.
  • Engage with panel brokers to promote Plum as their first port of call for new business enquiries.
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met, and timely issuance of documentation to brokers.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A strong background in underwriting, ideally with 4-5 years of experience managing a mixed household portfolio.
  • An analytical mindset, with excellent communication, sales, negotiation, and IT skills.
  • A willingness to learn and develop professionally, with a desire to contribute to our company's growth and success.
