Youth Engagement Specialist

The Snowdonia National Park Authority is seeking a Youth Engagement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work on a full-time basis, 37 hours per week, for a two-year fixed term contract. The estimated salary for this role is £26 per hour.
Job DescriptionThis role involves leading initiatives to connect young people with Snowdonia National Park. You will drive youth participation, education, and career opportunities by creating and implementing the Eryri Youth Manifesto. This will amplify the voices of young people through the establishment of a Youth Forum and other engagement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the creation and implementation of the Eryri Youth Manifesto
- Establish a Youth Forum and other engagement opportunities
- Oversight of the enhancement of the Young Rangers Scheme
- Development of a new trainee and apprentice programme
- Collaboration with local organisations to expand outreach to underserved youth groups

Requirements:
- The ability to communicate in Welsh and English
- Experience working with young people and establishing, organising and delivering programmes of youth engagement
- Experience working in partnership with a range of agencies and organisations in the field of youth work
- Experience monitoring and evaluating the broad outcomes of youth engagement
- An understanding of and familiarity with the National Parks purposes and special qualities
- A full, valid driving licence
