Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Year 2 Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. As a confident educator, you will lead a mixed-ability class with no EHCPs and work closely alongside an experienced colleague. Your strong classroom management skills and ability to engage students will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a mixed-ability Year 2 class
  • Take on full classroom teacher responsibilities, including lesson planning, attending staff meetings, and assessments
  • Collaborate with the experienced Year 2 team and share best practices
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages confidence and curiosity in students

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Year 2 Teacher or in a similar role
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the confidence to engage a lively and challenging class
  • Ability to work effectively with a shared Teaching Assistant across both Year 2 classes
  • Flexibility and adaptability to step into the role quickly and make an immediate positive impact
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

The estimated salary for this role is £40,000-£60,000 per year, depending on experience. We operate stringent safer recruitment procedures and are committed to promoting equality and challenging discrimination. This post will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Clearance.
