At Interv_l Group | B Corp™, we're seeking a skilled Building Physics Expert to join our energy team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in leading operational energy modelling and advising clients on achieving net zero carbon performance in line with regulatory targets.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience within a design consultancy, focusing on building physics and energy modelling. Accredited Level 5 Non-Domestic Energy Assessor and expertise with UK planning policy requirements, including the London Plan, are highly desirable.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out comprehensive building performance analysis, including passive design and façade optimisation.
  • Developing operational energy reduction plans, adhering to methodologies such as CIBSE TM54 and NABERS Design for Performance.
  • Undertaking Part L compliance modelling and Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessments.
  • Preparing technical reports, calculations, energy statements, and specifications to support sustainable building design.
  • Working closely with MEP engineers, architects, and sustainability consultants, leading project meetings and workshops.
  • Mentoring and training junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Managing individual workload, contributing to resource planning, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality consultancy services.
