Submarine Systems Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to join our team in Coventry. As a key member of our Whole Boat Systems Integration team, you will play a critical role in the design and integration of submarine systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in requirements and integration verification and validation (IVV) of products, as well as test facilitation and defect handling.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to contribute to the development of advanced submarine systems.

Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture and agreed technical requirements in accordance with company processes.
  • Deliver compliant technical solutions against contractual requirements and regulations.
  • Provide specialist technical input, review, and support into projects beyond immediate scope.
  • Leverage systems experience and knowledge in both tactical and strategic development of other engineers.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a STEM subject.
  • Experience and knowledge in requirements and integration verification and validation (IVV) of products.
  • Test facilitation and defect handling experience.

Desirable:

  • Attained or progressing towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
  • Previous exposure to working with submarines.
  • ISTQB qualification.
