Accounting Manager Job Description

Qmerit is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Crewe, UK. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the financial statement process, including AP/AR, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, payroll, and VAT compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with other departments to develop financial plans, analyse variances, and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Handle VAT, corporate tax, and other tax-related matters, ensuring compliance with local and international taxation regulations.
  • Manage Accounts Payable, including recording invoices, overseeing the process to ensure timely and accurate allocation, approval, and payment.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable, including sales invoice processing and AR inbox management, managing aged debtors review.
  • Develop work order and procurement process for EVSE charge-points, assist in developing logistics for B2C deliveries of electrical vehicle charge-points.
  • Manage work orders, track inventory, and administer multiple invoicing.
  • Oversee regular accounting operations, work on automating financial flows to enhance efficiency.
  • Propose tailored development plans, teach, and share knowledge with the team.
Person Specification:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer relationship experience a plus.
  • Inquisitive mind for electrification solutions.
  • Experience working with all organisational levels.
  • Proactive problem solver with a self-starter attitude.
