About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Osteopathic Practitioner to join our team at Recruit Therapists Limited. As a Graduate Osteopath, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and develop your skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Taking Detailed Case Histories

You will be responsible for taking detailed case histories from patients, including general health, specific symptoms, and other relevant details. This will involve asking patients to provide information about their medical history, lifestyle, and any previous treatments they have received.

Physical Examinations

You will conduct physical examinations of patients using a highly refined sense of touch (palpation) to identify any restricted, weak, or strained areas of the body. This may involve checking for any abnormalities in the patient's posture, movement, or muscle tone.

Clinical Assessments

You will undertake relevant clinical assessments as necessary, including blood pressure, pulse, abdominal/pelvic examination, and other diagnostic tests. This will help you to identify any underlying conditions or issues that may be contributing to the patient's symptoms.

Diagnosis and Treatment Planning

You will use your clinical skills and knowledge to make a working diagnosis and plan treatment in partnership with the patient. This may involve recommending exercises, stretches, or other self-care activities to help manage symptoms, as well as providing manual therapy techniques such as osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT).

Communication and Teamwork

You will work closely with other team members to deliver appropriate treatments and provide excellent patient care. This may involve communicating with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Record Keeping and Reporting

You will maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including notes on treatment plans, progress, and any changes to the patient's condition. You may also be required to complete reports or other documentation as needed.

Professional Development

You will have access to regular ongoing training and professional development opportunities to help you stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and best practices in osteopathic care.

About You
  • Qualifications and Experience

You will have a Bachelor's or higher degree in Osteopathic medicine and be approved by the General Osteopathic Council. You will also have relevant experience working with patients and a strong understanding of osteopathic principles and practices.

Skills and Abilities

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals. You will also have strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.

You will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a strong commitment to providing excellent patient care. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of patients and the clinic.
