Description

As a Cyber Security Specialist at Hitachi Energy, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the security and integrity of our customers' systems and networks. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing cyber security solutions, managing risks, and representing the company as a subject-matter expert in customer discussions.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cyber security solutions to meet customer-specific requirements, ensuring project and service deliverables meet defined cyber security standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with current and future technologies and trends, identifying and managing cyber security risks to minimize potential threats.
  • Represent Hitachi Energy as a cyber security expert in customer discussions, providing guidance and support to ensure expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of global cyber security risks and market requirements, contributing to identifying and capturing opportunities for improvement.
  • Interface with R&D departments and customers to ensure expectations are met and exceeded, participating in cyber security risk assessments as a subject-matter expert.
Your Background:
  • University degree in a relevant technical area, such as Computer Science, with excellent customer focus experience.
  • Experience with databases, high-availability solutions, scripting languages, and automation technologies, as well as knowledge of intrusion detection systems, security information event monitoring, and application control.
  • Experience with network equipment, redundant network designs, and protocols, as well as Microsoft client- and server operating systems, Active Directory, and third-party devices and appliances.
  • Previous experience in critical infrastructure is a plus, with a clean full driving license and security clearance to comply with BS7858:2019.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to digest and communicate complex technical information.
