Analytical Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analytical Scientist to join our client's Quality Control Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the testing and releasing of antigens and raw materials needed for vaccine production.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytical techniques, including titration testing, reagent preparation, and pipetting. Experience with sampling procedures, UV and IR testing, and EP testing is also desirable.
As a Quality Control Specialist, you will work closely with our team lead to meet release deadlines and ensure that all samples follow the correct processing procedures. You will also be responsible for reviewing and filing documentation, performing COSHH, MA, and RA assessments, and generating quality data.
We offer a competitive pay rate of up to £16 per hour, depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday and other benefits. This is a full-time temporary contract role for 12 months with a possible extension.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing analytical antigen full testing
- Performing raw material testing
- Working alongside team members and team lead to meet release deadlines
- Performing sampling of raw materials
- Ensuring samples follow the correct processing procedures
- Reviewing and filing documentation
- Ensuring timely review of all data results from tests performed
- Performing COSHH, MA, and RA assessments
- Generating quality data
