We are seeking a skilled Radar Systems Test Specialist to join our team at MBDA UK Ltd. The ideal candidate will have higher education or experience in fields such as Physics, Electromagnetics, Electrical, or similar.

Job Description

The Radar Systems Test Specialist will be responsible for supporting and undertaking all aspects of radar cross-section (RCS) trials and analysis to support product development and qualification. This includes capturing measurement specifications, producing test instructions, participating in fit-for-trial reviews, and undertaking laboratory radar signature measurements and associated results analysis and performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Capture and analyze data from radar trials and experiments
  • Develop and maintain test plans and procedures
  • Collaborate with the MBDA LO teams on Radio Frequency (RF) signature and Infra-red (IR) signature assessments
  • Support the establishment, progression, and delivery of risk reduction and qualification strategies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Higher education or experience within subject fields: Physics, Electromagnetics, Electrical, or similar
  • Experience of Instrumentation, measurement, analysis and reporting
  • Practical hands-on skills with ability to setup hardware in a test environment
  • Analytical mind-set and problem solving abilities
  • Good communication skills; verbal, presentation and written
  • Professional manner and adaptability when project needs are evolving
  • Ability to work to defined deadlines and within budget limits
  • Ability to work with supervisory support as a team or autonomously as required
  • Must be willing to undertake the DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance process
  • Ability to write and maintain codes within MATLAB and/or Python is desirable
