About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Owner - Core Banking Expert to join our team at Starling Bank. As a key member of our Product & Technology Proposition function, you will be responsible for understanding client needs, selling the right solutions, and building the right products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product consulting: You will have a detailed understanding of the Engine product and its core banking capabilities, working closely with the Business Development team on developed sales opportunities and the Delivery team in relation to client discovery work.
  • Engaging with clients: You will engage with clients to understand their needs, run exploratory workshops, and deliver detailed demos of the product's core banking capabilities.
  • Designing solutions: You will design and document core banking solutions for clients, helping them understand what is and isn't possible with Engine.
  • Product strategy: You will develop sales materials with a deep understanding of the product and client needs, conducting competitor analysis and market analysis to form a view of the direction of the product roadmap for our core banking capabilities.

Requirements

  • You have a background in Finance/Accountancy.
  • You understand and have executed/managed the core processes handled by Finance functions in a Financial Services context.
  • You're familiar with the challenges faced by Finance functions in relation to their core banking platforms and have ideas about how these might be solved.
